Head of Infrastructure / Technical Lead (Trading Platform Reliability) Full Time

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Head of Infrastructure / Technical Lead to oversee the reliability, security, and performance of our trading platform infrastructure. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise to ensure our trading systems operate seamlessly, securely, and efficiently. You will lead a talented team of engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to implement innovative solutions, uphold industry standards, and drive continuous improvement in our infrastructure environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining high availability, optimizing system performance, and safeguarding our critical trading operations.

Duties

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure supporting trading platforms, including cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
• Oversee system administration tasks across diverse platforms including Linux, Windows Server, vSphere virtualization, and SAN storage solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, business continuity strategies, and risk management protocols aligned with industry standards like NIST.
• Manage network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, DNS configurations, network segmentation (MPLS), and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with PCI standards.
• Collaborate with software development teams utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, Java, C#, PHP, Python, Node.js, React (including React Express), Angular, HTML/CSS to support application development and deployment.
• Drive project management initiatives using Agile methodologies to deliver infrastructure enhancements on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of change management.
• Coordinate vendor relationships for hardware procurement, software licensing, cloud services (Azure/AWS), and security solutions to optimize costs and service quality.

Skills

• Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms including AWS and Azure; strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices.
• Proficiency in network infrastructure management such as DNS, VPNs, MPLS networks, WAN optimization, firewall configuration, and network security protocols.
• Deep knowledge of databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB; expertise in ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong background in virtualization technologies like vSphere and SAN storage solutions; familiarity with system administration across Linux and Windows environments.
• Expertise in software development frameworks including .NET (C#), JavaScript (React, Node.js), PHP, HTML/CSS; experience supporting application development lifecycles (SDLC).
• Knowledge of IT governance standards such as PCI DSS for payment security compliance; adherence to NIST standards for cybersecurity practices.
• Skills in disaster recovery planning, business continuity strategies, risk management assessments, and vendor management.
• Proven leadership capabilities in managing cross-functional teams; excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
