Guest Screener Full Time

Position Description:

Responsible for Guest Screening operations.

Responsibilities:

Guest Screener is responsible for supervising guests as they enter the park and pass through the weapon detection system.

Responsible for the overall operation of the weapon screening equipment at the designated checkpoint/entrances area, scan guests, bags, packages and their items.

Monitor the display and alarms of the weapon screening equipment to identify and differentiate between harmless and potentially prohibited objects in the shape of a weapon.

Operate the Evolve weapon screening equipment as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures.

Ensures Park personal and guest are screened prior to boarding the gondola.

This also include doing thorough search of guests who the weapon detection system alerts on.

Responsible for notifying management when weapons are found, or issues arise with the weapon screening equipment.

Deliver outstanding Guest Service, be knowledgeable about the park and its offerings.

Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the operation.

Administration:

Must submit completed training checklist showing your proficiencies and knowledge.

Operations:

Have a keen eye for property presentation.

Respond to guest inquiries and guest feedback in a professional manner.

Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by the Base Manager or Base Supervisor.

Safety:

Conduct efficient and respectful screening of guests using the Evolve weapon screening equipment.

Proactively identify any hazard or safety concerns related to weapons.

Listen to and follow direction accurately.

Interact with guests and provide detailed safety and user instructions.

Maintain the cleanliness of the terminal.

Communication:

Responsible for notifying management when weapons are found, or issues arise with the weapon screening equipment.

Requirements:

Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to please guests and employees.

Represent the company with a positive and professional image.

Must be able to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Complete other tasks or duties as they are assigned by the Base Manager or Base Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Able to interpret both written & verbal instructions.

Must have reliable transportation

Must possess a valid drivers license.

Must be expert with what is offered in different areas of the park, including guest services, rides, shops, and food, in order to direct our guests.

Courtesy, alertness, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly are necessary.

Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to remain focused without direct supervision.

Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and conditions.

Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time.

Previous experience in the security field preferred.

Compensation:

Starting wage is $19/hour.

Within 2026 work the following hours and earn a scholarship! You must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester. Scholarship will be paid directly to your higher education school.

250 hours – $500 higher education scholarship

400 hours – $1,000 higher education scholarship

600 hours – $1,800 higher education scholarship

Pay: $19.00 per hour
