Job Summary
We’re seeking a reliable Glass Production Assistant to join our overnight team at RGT Glass America. In this entry-level position, you’ll support our glass fabrication operations by assisting production staff with material handling, quality inspection, and general shop tasks. This is a great opportunity to start a career in the glass manufacturing industry with a growing New Jersey-based company.
Duties
- Load and unload glass sheets, panels, and materials onto fabrication equipment
- Assist machine operators with setup, adjustments, and production runs
- Inspect finished glass products for defects, chips, or imperfections
- Package and prepare completed orders for shipping
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective equipment
- Support team members with general production tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to work overnight hours (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM) consistently
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- No prior glass or manufacturing experience necessary – we provide full training
