Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Full Stack Developer at UN JOBS & OPPORTUNITIES. The Full Stack Developer will design, develop, and maintain web applications that support the platform’s job search, user profiles, and content management features. Daily tasks include implementing responsive user interfaces, building and optimizing server-side logic and APIs, integrating databases, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, improving performance, enhancing security, and collaborating with content and operations teams to implement new features. The developer will participate in code reviews, maintain clear documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of the overall architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Front-End Development, including HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and modern JavaScript frameworks or libraries (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, with experience in at least one server-side language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, or similar) and RESTful API design.
• Experience with Full-Stack Development and Software Development practices, including version control (Git), testing, debugging, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, basic cloud or hosting environments, and web security best practices.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code, document technical work, and collaborate effectively in a remote, multicultural environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Experience building platforms related to jobs, listings, or content management, and an interest in international development or multilateral organizations is an advantage.
