Summary:
Our client, a world-renowned Media & Entertainment conglomerate, is looking for an eager and passionate Software Engineer who is strong with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL to join a cross functional team tasked with a new mission-critical initiative to help drive internal transformation that will enhance the future of their customer experience. This group is looking to refactor their high-traffic CMS-based sites to increase user accessibility, experience, and access. As part of this job, you’ll also receive all access training, mentorship, and guidance from industry experts to help you grow as an engineer.
Responsibilities:
• Work within a collaborative, distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers to design and build user-friendly front-end capabilities.
• Write quality code using cutting-edge techniques and tools
• Set coding standards, share best practices, and implement effective development processes
• Gather business requirements, create technical roadmap, and deliver projects on time
• Work on a CMS that allows teams and brands to build fully functioning websites and mobile applications
• Modify existing systems and suggest new technologies to senior leadership
• Create test criteria and participate in systems testing when needed
• Follow coding standards, workflow processes, integrations, automations, and the strategic technical direction for development efforts
• Perform constructive code reviews and collaborate in larger architecture and design discussions
• Work closely with cross-functional delivery teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Respond to, isolate, and resolve programming problems
Prior Experience Needed:
• 3+ years of experience building highly available and scalable websites or equivalent Frontend focused work.
• 2+ years of experience configuring, supporting, and developing within a Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal)
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks (i.e., React, TypeScript, etc.), and GraphQL
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain high-quality standards and attention to visual and interaction design details
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bonus: Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks and CI/CD stack along with the ability to deliver in an Agile workflow.
• Bonus: Working experience within Amazon Web Services inclusive of Lambda, S3 and other micro-services is an added benefit.
