Food Packaging Worker Full Time NEW

The packaging team is responsible for packing ham, bacon and smoked sausage for sale to supermarkets, restaurants and wholesale distributors. Employees working in this area are trained to adhere to specific food safety procedures.

Duties include

– Cut sausage links apart

– Operate bacon slicer

– Operate automated packaging machine

– Weigh, sort and label packages

– Fill, label and weigh boxes

– Maintain a clean, orderly work area

Schedule

– Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm

– Overtime available

Requirements

– high school diploma or equivalent

– clean, neat appearance

– attentive to detail, takes pride in one’s work

– able to lift 50 pounds at shoulder height

– able to stand and walk in refrigerated work area for long hours

– good communication skills

– mechanical knowledge helpful for this position

Wage/Benefits

– $18.50/hour starting

– $19 after 90 days
