At the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Office you can:
Plans, prioritizes, coordinates, and delegates daily departmental tasks in a manner to ensure completion within established time frames; coordinates and participates in all work aspects of the assigned functional area.
Provides training, direction, and assistance to new departmental personnel.
Performs data entry in maintaining and updating computer files, as applicable to assigned area.
Functions in an information capacity through receiving incoming mail, phone, personnel, and public requests for information concerning the assigned work area; provides information or resolution; directs to appropriate department/entity if necessary.
Performs a wide variety of administrative duties in supporting department functions, i.e., answering telephones, processing department mail, copying materials, filing materials, assisting co-workers as needed.
Participates in unit cross-training initiatives to acquire knowledge and skill sets to support efficient functioning of the assigned work unit.
Accept cash, check, and credit card payments, record receipts in OnBase System, issues receipts. Performs daily verification of checks received and ensures assets are secured in safe.
Posts cash receipts, invoices, and bank adjustments in Advantage and OnBase.
Prepares daily desktop deposit.
Prepares Brinks deposit, maintains copies of all checks.
Prepares reconciliations as needed.
Manages the Gas Card and SunPass processes by adding/updating/deleting credit card accounts and transponders as requested. Conducts annual audit of cards and transponders.
Orders banking and office supplies for locations.
Associate’s degree required.
Additional experience is accepted as a minimum requirement in lieu of a post-secondary degree on the following basis: additional four (4) years in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, and additional two (2) years in lieu of an associate degree.
Four (4) years of recent and relevant work experience required as follows: two (2) years of direct work experience and two (2) years of supplemental work experience required.
Must demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in researching and reporting on accounting discrepancies and resolving client/customer issues with minimal supervisory review.
