Position Overview

We are seeking a Field Surveyor to support construction projects by performing field layout, data collection, and verification. This role works closely with project managers and field crews to ensure projects are built accurately and in alignment with design specifications.

This is a field-based position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being directly involved in construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field surveying and data collection on active construction sites
• Conduct construction staking, layout, and grade verification
• Interpret construction drawings, alignment sheets, and survey plans
• Operate surveying equipment including GPS, total stations, and data collectors
• Verify elevations, boundaries, and dimensions in the field
• Support pipeline routing, right-of-way staking, and utility layout
• Maintain accurate field notes and survey documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field crews
• Assist with as-built surveys and final project documentation
• Follow safety standards and ensure compliance on job sites

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of field surveying experience (construction, pipeline, or utilities preferred)
• Experience with GPS, total station, and surveying equipment
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
