Experienced Taper and Construction Laborer Full Time

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Taper with at least 3 years of professional drywall finishing experience to join our team on residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has proven experience taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing drywall surfaces, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship while working efficiently and professionally in client environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a taper in residential or commercial construction settings
• Strong knowledge of drywall finishing, taping, mudding, sanding, skim coating, texturing, and finishing techniques
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and accountability in all work
• Shows empathy, respect, and care when working in client environments
• Ability to work efficiently and respond quickly to project needs
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic work environments
• Attention to detail with a focus on smooth finishes and precision workmanship
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and lift for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of drywall installation, remodeling, and surface preparation is a plus
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices

Duties

• Prepare drywall surfaces for finishing by cleaning, patching, sanding, and applying compounds as needed
• Apply tape, joint compound, and finishing materials to drywall seams, corners, and fasteners
• Sand and smooth finished surfaces to create seamless walls and ceilings ready for painting or texture application
• Repair drywall imperfections, cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces as needed
• Match existing textures and finishes when completing repairs or remodel projects
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while protecting surrounding surfaces and client property
• Work alongside team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• Follow all safety guidelines while using drywall tools, sanding equipment, ladders, and other construction equipment

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
