About The Position Birch Agency is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary Teachers (grades 3rd-5th) to support students in a school-based setting in Rockford, IL for the 2026-27 school year.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging instruction aligned with state standards
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated learning activities
- Support reading comprehension, writing development, grammar, and vocabulary
- Collaborate with grade-level team members, administrators, and support staff
- Maintain accurate student records, progress monitoring, and classroom documentation
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for the position.
- Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
- Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills
- Ability to support diverse learners and adapt instruction as needed
