ITW GSE DIVISION
The ITW GSE Division is an industry leading manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to the aviation industry.
Core customers are Airports and Airlines in all countries around the World.
Core products are Power Supply Units for aircraft parked on the ground.

Sales Office Dubai

POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and reworking electrical Ground Support Equipment (GSE) received from airport and airline customers. This role requires strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret drawings and blueprints, and hands-on experience repairing, replacing, and reworking components to ensure equipment is fully functional, safe, and ready for customer use.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on Ground Support Equipment returned from customer sites.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals to identify root causes of equipment failures.
Repair, replace, and rework electrical components such as wiring, harnesses, sensors, controllers, motors, switches, and connectors.
Perform mechanical repairs and adjustments as required to support electrical functionality.
Test and validate equipment functionality after repairs to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
Document troubleshooting steps, repairs performed, and parts used in maintenance and service records.
Communicate findings, repair status, and technical details with internal teams such as Engineering, Quality, and Customer Support.
Adhere to all safety policies, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements related to electrical work and GSE maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and components.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment, preferably industrial, automotive, or GSE-related.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting tools (multimeters, test equipment, hand and power tools).
Basic mechanical skills and comfort working with integrated electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working on Ground Support Equipment or heavy industrial equipment.
Familiarity with airport or airline maintenance environments.
Experience following ISO, quality management systems, or documented repair procedures.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with hands for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] with or without reasonable accommodation.
