Job Title: Electrical Mechanic & Junior Mechanic
Job Description
This role leads electrical installation projects in commercial office buildings, with a strong focus on conduit work, wiring, lighting, and panel installations. The Electrical Foreman oversees field activities, ensures work meets code and safety standards, and supports a team of mechanics and junior mechanics across multiple Long Island locations.
Responsibilities
Electrical work on commercial building projects across various Long Island locations.
Install, wire, and terminate lighting systems, panels, boxes, outlets, and related electrical components.
Plan and run conduit systems, including precise conduit bending for 120-480 volt installations.
Read and interpret blueprints to lay out electrical runs, verify measurements, and ensure accurate installation according to project specifications.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective repairs.
Essential Skills
3-10 years of hands-on electrical experience in commercial or similar environments.
Proficiency in installing and wiring lighting, panels, boxes, outlets, and conduit for 120-480 volt systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and apply them accurately in the field.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
OSHA 30 certification.

Work Environment
This role is field-based across multiple Long Island office building locations, including sites in areas such as Hicksville, Hauppauge, Central Islip, Long Beach, and Quogue. You will work alongside mechanics and junior mechanics on active construction and renovation projects. The schedule requires flexibility to start at either 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m., depending on job site needs. Work is hands-on and physically active, involving regular use of hand tools, cordless drills, and conduit bending equipment in typical commercial construction conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $33.00/hr.
