Job Description
Pearhead, Inc. is looking for an E-Commerce Assistant to join our e-commerce team. This is an entry-level remote position based in Cleveland, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working on the wholesale-side of retail and e-commerce, is detail-oriented, proactive, and a self-starter. The candidate must be a strong verbal and written communicator and be comfortable working remotely. The E-Commerce Assistant plays a key part in ensuring our products are accurately represented and optimized across major retailer websites. This role will support product setup, content creation, ongoing maintenance of online listings to help drive sales and maintain brand consistency across platforms, operational tasks, and other projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit product setup documentation for retail partners, including item forms and assortment line sheets
• Write and maintain product copy including titles, bullet points, and descriptions for retailer websites
• Coordinate product images and content to meet retailer requirements and deadlines
• Ensure product listings are accurate, complete, and aligned with brand standards across all platforms
• Audit new product launches across retailer sites and resolve any content or setup issues
• Continuously review and maintain existing listings, identifying opportunities for improvement and submitting updates as needed
• Update product availability and status across retail partners
• Monitor customer reviews, questions, and messages, and communicate trends or issues to the team
• Assist with operational tasks including reporting, chargebacks, and issue resolution
• Maintain familiarity with Pearhead’s brands and product assortments
• Assist with reporting as requested
• Support special projects as needed
Qualifications
• Interest in e-commerce, and digital content management
• Basic understanding of retail
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Eager to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remove environment
• Proficient in Excel (data entry, and basic analysis)
• Willingness to learn new systems and seek out ways to improve individual and team processes
Preferred (not required):
• Experience with e-commerce, retail, or digital content management
• Familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central or other retailer portals
About the Team
The E-Commerce team is a tri-city team, with members located in our Brooklyn, NY headquarters, Columbus, and Cleveland, OH. This position will report to the E-Commerce Associate who is based in Cleveland, OH.
The E-Commerce team is responsible for managing and growing the e-commerce business globally. This includes supporting and growing our existing business, identifying and expanding into new opportunities, creating images, copy and video content, optimizing SEO and product listings, partnering with marketing to drive traffic and sales, developing product and packaging specifically for the online space, ensuring profitability of products and accounts, responding to customer service issues, and working with operations on shipping, inventory and fulfillment issues, among other duties.
The E-Commerce Assistant can expect to communicate via phone, email, chat, and video with other internal teams such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, Fulfillment, Design, and Product Development, most of whom are based in the NYC area and LA.
Standard Work Hours
Monday – Thursday 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM EST
Friday 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Flexibility with work hours may be discussed
Travel
This position will require occasional travel to Columbus, OH
Location
This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The E-Commerce Assistant will be expected to meet
periodically in person with the E-Commerce Associate at a mutually convenient location within the Cleveland area. Occasional travel to
Columbus, Ohio will also be required to collaborate with team members based there.
Salary
$44,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year / DOE
