Experienced Manufacturing Associate for Drawer Box Assembly and Finishing Float

• Ability to be reassigned from job to job as needed
• Ability to read and understand part stickers, cabinet drawings, and material sheets
• Ability to understand standard and metric measurements
• Ability to distinguish wood species, color, and thickness of material
• Ability to learn machine maintenance/setup with accuracy and according to job specifications
• Machine drawer box components accurately and efficiently to company specifications
• Preassemble drawer boxes by sorting out drawer box components, sanding, and dadoing
• Assemble drawer boxes by putting the drawer box pieces together and then using the drawer press to ensure the box is square
• Use the hot melt to apply to the bottom of the box
• Use the notching machine to notch the back of the drawer box if not already done
• Sanding drawer boxes and cabinet components
• Mix and apply spray technique, stain/paint and sealer to components
• Inspect for quality and accuracy
• Clean work area and store equipment and supplies appropriately
• Follow all procedures and safe work practices
• All other duties as assigned

Monday-Thursday 10-hour shifts – 5:00am to 3:30pm

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

Education: high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

OPERATOR must control machines and processes as they handle and move objects and perform activities that use their entire body. They must get and process the information needed to do the job. They must inspect and maintain mechanical equipment, as well as monitor materials and evaluate them against standards.

Special Job Demands (working conditions, travel, hazards, etc.):

OPERATORS are sometimes exposed to hazardous situations. Must be able to safely lift 50-75 pounds. There is a moderate possibility of slight injury. However, following safety precautions can reduce the risk of injury.

Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
