Position Summary

Haystack Health is seeking a Director/VP of Growth to help define our growth strategy and build the partnerships that will scale Haystack. You will lead strategic growth initiatives and go to market strategy with prospective health plan partners across commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, self-insured employers, and marketplace segments. You’ll serve as a thought partner to executives at our health plan partners and work closely with the CEO as those relationships develop into long-term customers.

The right candidate is a structured strategic thinker with strong executive presence and a track record of building growth functions for rapidly scaling healthcare companies. You are energized by ambiguity, comfortable moving between executive narrative and operational detail, and excited to help build something category-defining from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead Haystack’s growth strategy across commercial health plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, self-insured employers, and marketplace segments.
• Build and scale Haystack’s GTM motion — including outreach strategy, sales process, qualification criteria, and the playbooks that make growth repeatable.
• Build and lead the growth function — including partnerships, business development strategy, and growth operations — as Haystack scales.
• Expand utilization of AI solutions to support Haystack’s scaling growth functioning, ensuring data hygiene, reporting rigor, and adoption across the team.
• Work cross-functionally to sharpen positioning, inform the product roadmap, and shape Haystack’s external story.
• Build the operating cadence behind growth, including forecasting, market and pipeline reviews, performance metrics, and the AI-driven tools that make the function repeatable.
• Represent Haystack externally as a growth leader at industry conferences, with the press, and across the broader payer and value-based care ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in growth, partnerships, business development, or corporate strategy roles in healthcare, with significant exposure to health plans and/or value-based care organizations.
• Proven track record of identifying, structuring, and closing strategic partnerships that drove material business outcomes.
• Strong network across health plans and value-based care organizations, with the executive presence to engage senior and C-suite stakeholders as a peer.
• Deep understanding of healthcare strategy and operations; experience with health plans is a strong plus.
• Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment — energized by ambiguity and by the opportunity to shape Haystack’s growth strategy through scale.
• Experience building and scaling a GTM motion from an early stage — including process, playbooks, and the CRM infrastructure behind it.
• Experience implementing and using AI-driven tools to enhance growth and GTM productivity.
• Experience building and leading high-performing growth, partnerships, or business development teams.
• Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to translate technical and clinical concepts into business terms for non-technical audiences.
• Background in management consulting, corporate development, or corporate strategy is a plus.

This is a full-time, remote position. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience and includes equity participation and a comprehensive company-sponsored benefits package. Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work East Coast business hours to align with team operations.
