Compal is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Operations & Planning to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for our Texas manufacturing facility.
This role will oversee demand planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and production support while driving operational readiness and supply chain efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in factory operations, SIOP processes, ERP systems, and global supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead demand and supply planning activities to support manufacturing operations and customer requirements
• Manage inventory strategy, inventory buffers, and inventory optimization initiatives
• Oversee logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations
• Support Texas site production ramp-up and operational readiness activities
• Coordinate cross-functional planning activities to ensure on-time production and delivery
• Establish and manage SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) processes
• Define and implement freight and logistics strategies to optimize cost and efficiency
• Monitor and improve OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance metrics
• Drive inventory turns improvement and reduce operational downtime
• Lead and mentor Operations Managers and supply chain teams
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to support operational planning and reporting
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Global Teams to ensure seamless operations.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field
• 12+ years of supply chain operations experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience leading SIOP and end-to-end supply chain planning processes
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and freight operations
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Factory or data center operations experience
• Experience supporting manufacturing ramp-up environments
• Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred
