Director of Quality, Risk & Patient Safety
Northeast Oregon: Relocation provided
Compensation: starting at $125k+
We are seeking an experienced Director of Quality, Risk & Patient Safety to provide enterprise?level leadership across clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and infection prevention within a Critical Access Hospital environment.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Patient Care Services / Chief Nursing Officer and partners closely with executive leadership, medical staff, and the Board to advance a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Please note: Due to the rural location of this community, relocation is required. Candidates must be willing to live and work locally.What You’ll Do
- Lead organization?wide Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Oversee patient safety, risk management, event reporting, RCA/FMEA processes, and grievance resolution
- Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, state and federal regulations, and The Joint Commission standards for Critical Access Hospitals
- Serve as the primary Joint Commission liaison, managing survey readiness and corrective action plans
- Direct infection prevention and employee health programs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience in quality, patient safety, or risk management
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Quality, Risk, or Patient Safety certification (CPHQ, CPPS, CPHRM) or willingness to obtain
- Collaborative, visible leader comfortable working in a rural, community?focused setting
