Director of Digital Transformation & Innovation Full Time

Centric Healthcare Services is a healthcare management services organization (MSO) that provides comprehensive operational, technology, consulting, and management solutions to physician groups, Independent Practice Associations (IPAs), healthcare networks, and healthcare organizations. Our services include IPA Management, Practice Management, Revenue Cycle Management, Healthcare Consulting, Operational Improvement, and Strategic Planning.

Centric Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Digital Transformation, Automation & AI to lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on process improvement, workflow optimization, automation, artificial intelligence, and technology-enabled operational excellence.

This position will serve as a strategic leader responsible for evaluating business processes across healthcare management services, managed care operations, revenue cycle management, population health, provider services, finance, human resources, and administrative functions. The Director will identify opportunities to leverage automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, compliance, and organizational performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare operations, business process improvement, digital transformation, healthcare technology, data governance, HIPAA regulations, cybersecurity principles, and protection of Protected Health Information (PHI). This individual will work closely with executive leadership, department leaders, vendors, and clients to develop and implement innovative solutions that support both internal operations and the services Centric Healthcare Services provides to healthcare organizations.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing business processes, workflows, and operational systems across all service lines and departments to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop process maps, workflow analyses, operational assessments, and business cases to support organizational transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation technologies, artificial intelligence platforms, machine learning tools, robotic process automation, workflow management solutions, and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain an enterprise roadmap for automation, digital transformation, and AI initiatives aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend technology solutions that improve productivity, reduce manual processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and support scalable growth.
• Lead implementation of automation, AI, analytics, and workflow optimization initiatives across multiple departments and business units.
• Manage projects from concept through implementation, including requirements gathering, vendor selection, project planning, testing, training, change management, and post-implementation evaluation.
• Collaborate with leadership across operations, revenue cycle management, IPA management, finance, human resources, compliance, and information technology to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Develop performance metrics, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting tools to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Analyze operational, financial, and organizational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
• Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) and business impact of technology initiatives and provide recommendations regarding future investments.
• Stay current on healthcare technology trends, artificial intelligence developments, digital transformation strategies, cybersecurity practices, interoperability standards, and regulatory requirements affecting healthcare organizations.
• Serve as an internal advisor to executive leadership regarding innovation, automation, AI adoption, and technology strategy.

Compliance, Privacy & Security Responsibilities

• Ensure all technology, automation, artificial intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives comply with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS requirements, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
• Evaluate software vendors, AI platforms, automation tools, cloud-based solutions, and technology partners for compliance with healthcare privacy, security, and PHI protection requirements.
• Develop and maintain governance processes related to artificial intelligence, automation, data management, cybersecurity, and responsible technology adoption.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal, operational, and IT leadership to establish policies and procedures governing healthcare data, AI utilization, privacy, security, and risk management.
• Ensure appropriate safeguards are implemented to protect Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), confidential business information, and organizational data assets.
• Participate in vendor evaluations, security assessments, Business Associate Agreement (BAA) reviews, and compliance reviews associated with technology implementations.
• Monitor evolving regulatory guidance related to healthcare technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, interoperability, and healthcare data governance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, healthcare technology, digital transformation, consulting, business process improvement, innovation, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating, implementing, and managing automation, workflow optimization, analytics, artificial intelligence, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, managed care, revenue cycle management, healthcare administration, and healthcare technology environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and departments.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, healthcare privacy regulations, cybersecurity principles, healthcare data governance, and protection of Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Experience evaluating healthcare technology vendors, software platforms, AI solutions, automation tools, and digital transformation initiatives within regulated healthcare environments.
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR), healthcare interoperability standards, healthcare analytics platforms, claims systems, and healthcare information technology infrastructure.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence, project management, or process improvement methodologies is preferred.
