Director of Clinical Project Management Full Time NEW

We are seeking a Director of Clinical Project Management with exceptional strategic leadership and deep industry experience to assume comprehensive responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery management of the company’s global clinical projects.

This role will spearhead the overall operations of multi-regional, multi-center clinical projects, ensuring that projects meet the highest standards regarding timelines, quality, cost-efficiency, and regulatory compliance, while also driving the integration of digital and AI technologies into clinical project management practices.

Candidates must possess over 20 years of management experience and a robust background in clinical research, CROs, pharmaceutical companies, medical devices, or the HealthTech sector, with the proven ability to lead complex global clinical project teams.

Core ResponsibilitiesClinical Project Strategy and Management

• Responsible for formulating the company’s global clinical project management strategy and execution framework.
• Oversee the overall planning and delivery of multi-center, multi-regional clinical projects.
• Ensure that all clinical projects comply with GCP, ICH guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Establish standardized clinical project management processes and quality systems.

Project Execution and Delivery Management

• Lead the initiation, execution, and close-out phases of large-scale clinical research projects.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management activities.
• Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of projects.
• Resolve complex issues and address cross-regional coordination challenges encountered during project execution.

Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with clinical operations, data science, product R&D, and medical affairs teams.
• Coordinate with global research centers, hospitals, CROs, and third-party partner organizations.
• Establish efficient mechanisms for cross-cultural and cross-regional project collaboration.

Team Building and Leadership

• Responsible for building and managing the global clinical project management team.
• Mentor and develop senior project managers and core management talent.
• Build a high-performance, professionalized project management organization.
• Drive continuous improvement in team capabilities and the development of organizational knowledge systems.

Digital and AI Enablement

• Drive the application of AI technologies and digital tools within clinical project management.
• Optimize clinical trial processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Introduce data-driven project management methodologies and decision-making frameworks.
• Support the development and expansion of the company’s digital health platform.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Identify and manage key risks associated with clinical projects.
• Ensure project compliance with international medical regulations and ethical standards.
• Establish robust quality control and audit mechanisms.
• Address complex compliance and regulatory issues.

Job RequirementsBasic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; a background in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 20 years of management experience within clinical research, the pharmaceutical industry, or the medical technology sector.
• At least 10 years of senior management experience in clinical project management, or within a CRO or pharmaceutical company.
• Proven experience leading large-scale global or multi-regional clinical project teams.

Professional Competencies

• In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes (Phases I–IV), as well as GCP and ICH-GCP guidelines.
• Familiarity with CRO operational models, pharmaceutical R&D frameworks, and clinical research involving medical devices.
• Exceptional capabilities in Project Portfolio Management.
• Experience in managing multi-national projects and facilitating multi-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with digital health, AI-driven clinical systems, or data-driven clinical research is a plus.
