Job Title: Director, Government Contracts (Medicaid / Florida Health Plan)

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Government Contracts to lead regulatory and contractual operations across Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace, and other government-sponsored programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high-performing team responsible for government contracts, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
• Oversee implementation and ongoing management of federal and state program requirements.
• Ensure timely, accurate submission of all regulatory filings, reports, and deliverables.
• Drive contract lifecycle activities including renewals, amendments, and compliance adherence.
• Partner cross-functionally to implement new regulatory standards and program changes.
• Act as the primary liaison with state agencies, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate legislative and regulatory changes, providing impact analysis and recommendations.
• Lead internal committees and workgroups aligned to government program initiatives.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including bids and new market opportunities.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace, or related government healthcare programs.
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and government healthcare program requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in legal, regulatory, or compliance functions.
• Strong Medicaid program expertise.
• Experience working with government agencies and managing regulatory relationships.
