About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Engineer, Data to join our engineering team. This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week at our San Jose office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in defining and driving the architectural vision of our platform, focusing on system reliability, operational excellence, and automation strategies. As a technical leader, you will serve as a mentor to engineering teams, promote best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally with product, customer success, and engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges. Your expertise will help ensure our systems are scalable, resilient, and aligned with our strategic goals. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship at this time.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, ECS, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions with tools such as Grafana, Coralogix, AWS CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub, and experience building advanced automation pipelines.
• Deep understanding of AWS networking, security, and infrastructure concepts.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently, lead high-impact projects, and solve ambiguous problems.
• Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive architectural improvements and integrations across the platform, leveraging serverless and containerization technologies.
• Design and develop reliable, scalable systems ensuring high standards for durability, availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
• Establish and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, and implement proactive alerting with real-time dashboards to maintain system health.
• Develop and refine CI/CD workflows, automating tasks throughout the software development lifecycle to enhance developer experience and operational efficiency.
• Mentor engineering team members, promoting best practices such as test-driven development and automated testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and customer success to address complex technical challenges with broad organizational impact.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to improve system stability and performance.
