Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Deputy Clerk Treasurer to join our financial management team. Duties

• Public Service: the position’s primary function is to provide customer service to the taxpayers of the Village and the general public.
• Answers inquiries in person or over the phone when within authority to do so or refer such inquiries to appropriate authorities.
• Assists public with proper forms & procedures for building permits, licensing, ordinances, etc.
• Assists with reservations, payment, etc., for use of Village facilities.
• Issues dog licenses.
• Receives payments and credits proper accounts in the Workhorse Accounting/ Utility software and prepares bank statements.
• Assists with the preparation of any correspondence, reports, agenda, meeting minutes and notices as needed.
• Assists with website maintenance as needed and the Village Facebook page.
• Processing of property tax payments.
• The billing (and late billing) of water and sewer bills.
• Attends the monthly Board Meetings.
• Performs all payroll functions including but not limited to, processing employee timesheets, calculation and preparing payroll checks, journal entries, payroll tax deposits, monthly and quarterly reports and any other required functions or reports as necessary as part of the payroll operations.
• Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public and to deal with public relations problems courteously and tactfully.
• Provides assistance to other departments as needed.
• Assists and supports the Clerk Treasurer in various duties as requested.

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
