Deck Refurbishment Expert Full Time NEW

DeckTec Outdoor Designs is seeking a qualified deck stainers to complete cleaning, sanding, staining, and painting projects on outdoor living installations from Fort Collins to Larkspur.

This position paid on a Piece Rate basis. Total compensation for a 2-person crew is between 20%-30% of job amount depending on scope of work. This is a W-2 employee position with benefits including health & dental insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401k with employer matching.

Duties

• Thorough work site preparation including masking and protecting house walls, furniture, gardens, patios, yards, etc. with plastic, paper, or tarps as appropriate
• Cleaning & power washing surfaces of wood & composite decks & railings, deck posts, roof covers, and fences
• Setting & replacing screws as needed on decks, roof covers, and fences
• Sanding & staining or painting of wood surfaces on decks & railings, deck posts, roof covers, and fences
• Finishing details such as caulking and paint touch ups as needed
• Proper site cleanup so as to leave the worksite free of dirt, dust, debris, or equipment upon job completion
• Proper site security ensuring that all gates are closed and latched upon job completion

Equipment & Materials Provided

· Presentable vehicles for transportation to and from job site

• Power washers, sprayers, brushes, and rags
• Sanders & sand paper
• Masking tape, plastic, paper, and/or tarps
• Ladders
• Personal Protective Equipment including masks, respirators, and eye protection
• Paint, stain, and caulk

Requirements

· Able to lift and carry 50lbs

· Able to climb up and down ladders

· Able to operate power washers, sprayers, hand tools

· Valid driver’s license with clean record

· Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

· Able to communicate effectively with primarily English-speaking customers

· Professional paint & stain experience
