Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Deck Builder Foreman to lead a crew and oversee residential and light commercial deck projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality work, jobsite efficiency, and leading a team.
Responsibilities
– Lead, manage, and work alongside a deck building crew
– Oversee daily jobsite operations to ensure projects stay on schedule
– Read and interpret plans, layouts, and specifications
– Ensure all work meets company quality standards and local building codes
– Coordinate material needs and communicate with suppliers/lumberyard
– Train and mentor crew members
– Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
– Communicate professionally with customers when needed
Requirements
– 3+ years of experience building decks (required)
– Proven experience leading a crew or foreman-level leadership
– Strong knowledge of framing, decking systems, railing installation, and hardware
– Ability to read plans and layout projects accurately
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
– Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
– Experience with composite/PVC decking systems is a plus
