Job Summary
Data Associates are responsible for managing and maintaining data integrity and accuracy within the institution’s databases. This role involves assisting with data entry, conducting quality assurance checks, and generating reports to support various departments in data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 –
Assist in the collection, organization, and maintenance of data to ensure accuracy and integrity within the institution’s databases.
Job Duty 2 –
Collaborate with team members to define data requirements and establish best practices for data management and usage across the institution.
Job Duty 3 –
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Duty 4 –
Perform data entry tasks, ensuring that information is input correctly and in a timely manner to support various institutional functions.
Job Duty 5 –
Conduct regular quality assurance checks on data to identify and rectify discrepancies or errors that may affect reporting and analysis.
Job Duty 6 –
Generate and prepare reports from the database to provide insights and support decision-making for various departments within the institution.
Job Duty 7 –
Provide support to faculty and staff in accessing and utilizing institutional data and reporting tools effectively.
Job Duty 8 –
Assist in the development and documentation of data management processes and procedures to ensure compliance with institutional policies.
Job Duty 9 –
Stay informed about data management tools and software, recommending enhancements to improve data handling and reporting capabilities.
Job Duty 10 –
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to data management, ensuring continuous professional development within the field.
Educational Requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
Other Required Qualifications
Must be able to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Experience
Two years of job-related experience
Skills
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This job requires familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, familiarity with report writing software, scheduling software such as EMS, and student information systems such as Banner. Communication skills, written and oral, and presentation skills are required. Must be able to organize information effectively for different audiences, able to create charts, graphics, etc. to help explain processes, and must have analytical and problem-solving skills.
