The Department of Epidemiology has an outstanding opportunity for a Curriculum & Student Services Specialist (Temporary) to join their team.
About This Opportunity
Reporting to Academic Services-Assistant Director, the Curriculum & Student Services Specialist is responsible for supporting the Department of Epidemiology’s academic mission by coordinating curriculum operations, accreditation activities, and student services for graduate programs. This position collaborates extensively with faculty, students, and university partners to ensure effective curriculum planning, compliance with university and accreditation standards, and a high-quality student experience from recruitment through graduation.
This position is based on the University of Washington Seattle campus and works closely with faculty, students, and staff across the Department of Epidemiology and the School of Public Health. A hybrid work arrangement may be available, with opportunities for partial telework based on operational needs and department policy. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with occasional flexibility required to support events, meetings, and student activities.
The estimated duration of this temporary assignment is ~12 months.

About The Team
The UW Department of Epidemiology Student Academic Services (Epi SAS) team takes a dynamic approach to holistic, academic-related student services in order to increase accessibility, enhance the student experience, and promote the success of our students. In collaboration with faculty, staff, and students within Epi and beyond, we manage, facilitate, and support many functions across the department including student advising, admissions, curriculum development, and data management. The close-knit Epi SAS team values working collaboratively, independently, and cross-functionally as needed.
For more than 50 years, the University of Washington Department of Epidemiology has worked to confront the major public health challenges we face. In doing so, our mission has been centered around research, education, and service in the pursuit of health equity. Quality teaching and research lie at the heart of everything we do. With more than 60 graduate-level courses and 6 undergraduate courses, we provide rigorous, foundational instruction on epidemiologic methods and approaches to using these skills to seek solutions to improve population health.
