Coordinator of Stakeholder Engagement (Educational Program Coordinator), Wells Fargo Center for Neurodiversity & Inclusive Employment Full Time NEW

The Wells Fargo Center for Neurodiversity & Inclusive Employment at the University of Connecticut is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Stakeholder Engagement (Educational Program Coordinator). The incumbent will report to the Executive Director of the Wells Fargo Center for Neurodiversity & Inclusive Employment (the “Center”) and will serve as the primary liaison between the Center and its three core stakeholder groups—employers, university partners, and neurodivergent job seekers – as well as organizations and partners in the neurodiversity and employment ecosystem (researchers, consulting organizations, non-profits, start-up organizations, etc). The coordinator will manage key relationships, lead delivery of employer education offerings, and oversee large-scale events and initiatives that connect organizations and candidates in the Center’s network.

This is a 12-month, end-date, annually renewable position. The position will be based in Hartford but may require travel to Storrs or other regional campuses, as well as other locations in-state and out-of-state. Occasional weekend and evening hours may also be required in support of program activities and events. The ideal candidate will have exemplary conduct and demeanor, projecting a polished and professional image at all times.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Serves as main point of contact for the Center’s expanding network of partner universities, employers, and community organizations; responds to inquiries and leads the development of engagements with the Center and its programs, education opportunities, and events; makes referrals as appropriate.
• Coordinates program logistics and communications for university-employer engagements in an ongoing manner, including the Neurodiversity Career Experience Program. Collaborates with the operations team to ensure timely scheduling, material preparation and event execution.
• Assists in providing individualized, on-demand coaching and employment guidance to neurodivergent candidates within the Center’s network.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with partners, ensuring ongoing, seamless collaboration and information exchange; manages partner outreach and onboarding.
• Represents the Center in external meetings and at national conferences, maintaining professional and mission-aligned communications.
• Develops, coordinates, and executes all partner and participant communications and promotional information for the Center’s programs and workshops, ensuring consistent tone, professionalism, and follow-up.
• Collaborates with the Center’s Executive Director to plan, develop, and implement national professional development initiatives for the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), including developing virtual and conference programming for over 5,000 members, and coordinating the production of educational video materials.
• Supervises the day-to-day delivery of program content and services for AHEAD and other center offerings.
• Assists with instruction for select employer learning sessions, delivering curriculum and resources developed by the Center, as assigned.
• Collects and analyzes data to assess the effectiveness of program content. Tracks engagement metrics and program outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement.
• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates student employees, determining work assignments, monitoring progress on projects, and determining prioritization of tasks.
• Coordinates special projects which may be ongoing or short-term, and which require planning, coordination, supervision, and thorough knowledge of the program.
• Performing related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Three to four years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement educational programs.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve day-to-day program problems.
• Prior experience planning, organizing, and executing both small and large-scale events.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Demonstrated experience taking initiative, working independently and accurately, exercising sound judgment when making decisions, and meeting deadlines.
• Proven experience working well as part of a team.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a variety of constituents such as faculty, staff, students, administrators, external agencies/groups and the public.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a higher education environment.
• Demonstrated experience working with employers to advance workforce inclusion of individuals with varied cognitive, physical, or learning needs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of neurodivergence and experience engaging with neurodivergent individuals.
• Experience developing and executing communication and promotional strategies.
• Demonstrated experience working with executives or other business professionals.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills.

This is a full-time, end-dated position with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and funding.
