Controller/Senior Accountant Full Time NEW

We are seeking a hands-on Controller / Senior Accountant to own the accounting function and help build a scalable financial and operational foundation for a growing global SaaS business.

This role goes beyond traditional accounting. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financials while also improving the systems and processes that drive them—particularly across billing, revenue, and core business metrics.

You will work directly with the CEO and a fractional CFO and play a critical role in bringing discipline, visibility, and operational rigor to the business.

What You’ll Do

Core Accounting Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process (accuracy, timeliness, discipline)
• Maintain and improve financial reporting and internal controls
• Manage GL, AR/AP, and reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition (SaaS / ARR focus)
• Support audit, tax, and compliance across multiple entities

Operational & Revenue-Focused Responsibilities

• Own and improve billing, invoicing, and collections processes
• Ensure alignment between contracts, pricing, and recognized ARR
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to maintain data integrity across systems
• Build and maintain core business metrics (ARR, churn, expansion, retention)
• Help implement and optimize systems and workflows (CRM, billing, accounting tools)
• Identify and drive process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability

Strategic Support

• Partner with leadership on budget vs. actuals and financial visibility
• Work with the fractional CFO on forecasting, modeling, and reporting improvements
• Help establish a scalable financial and operational infrastructure
  

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10+ years of accounting experience (SaaS or tech preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition
• Experience owning or heavily contributing to monthly close
• Comfortable working across accounting + operational workflows
• Strong attention to detail with a bias toward execution and ownership
• Experience with multi-entity / international operations is a plus
• CPA preferred (not required)
