Duties

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders to perform site excavation and grading with precision.
• Use hand tools and power tools to prepare sites for landscaping, including digging trenches, installing drainage systems, and setting forms for concrete work.
• Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project plans accurately for excavation depths, landscape layouts, and structural details.
• Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and masonry tasks to establish durable foundations and features.
• Install hardscape elements like pavers, retaining walls, patios, and pathways to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications; coordinate with construction management teams for seamless workflow.
• Perform minor repairs or fabrication of landscape features using welding or carpentry skills when necessary.

Skills

• Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and power tools safely on construction sites.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, stucco application, and masonry techniques is a plus.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, levels, saws, drills, caulking guns, and tile cutters.
• Familiarity with construction management practices and inspection procedures ensures quality control throughout projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings accurately for layout and installation purposes.
