Conservation Agronomist

Hey, I’m Eric, founder of Landoption and I’d like to share with you a bit about our company and this new role.

We are looking for a Conservation Agronomist who is ready for something different.
You should speak the language of the farm and the farmer. You will be the technical engine of our Partner Success team. You will give our dealers and farmers the confidence to simplify the chaos and deliver wins.
We need someone who wants to help us build the connective tissue that makes farm programs simple, trusted, and rewarding. And, someone who wants to have a great time doing it.

What You’ll Do
- The “Program Brain”: You will use our software and database of over 1200 programs to help our dealers build and implement recommendations for their farmers. You’ll help them find and stack opportunities like carbon, EQIP, water, and habitat programs.
- Farmer & Partner Success: You are the technical backbone. When a dealer has a question about a specific practice (like cover crop species or MRV requirements), you provide the clarity that maintains the trust.
- Product Evolution: You will work closely with our tech team to improve the Landoption Portal. You’ll translate field-level headaches into software features that make enrollment simpler and more rewarding.
- Content & Education: Help our marketing team with content and materials that make the process easier and more effective.
Who You Are
- Grounded in Ag: You likely have a background in agronomy or soil science. A CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) or TSP (Technical Service Provider) and experience with USDA/NRCS programs is a massive plus.
- Tech-Forward: You’ve embraced AI. You see it as a tool to make you more effective, not a replacement for your expertise.
- Communication: Able to educate and simplify complex information to close the loop and get producers paid.
- Mission-Driven: You care about the balance between people, nature, and profit.
- Entrepreneurial: You thrive in a lean team and enjoy building a new category from the ground up.
Logistics
- The Conservation Agronomist will be required to reside within the travel region; this is a remote position and will require up to 80% local travel visiting partners and producers within a couple hundred miles of Lincoln
- Eligible for employee benefits package.
- A valid driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle are required.
