Responsibilities
JPL’s Acquisition Division acquires all goods and services that support Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s projects, missions, and critical institutional needs. Acquisition manages approximately $1.6–$2B in annual expenditures on behalf of the Laboratory. Due to the scope and complexity of these activities, Acquisition operations are subject to extensive oversight from both internal and external audit entities.
Procurement files and records are regularly reviewed as part of required annual audits and periodic compliance reviews conducted by organizations including PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and other federal oversight entities.
