College Intern – Clinical Institutes/Care Transformation

We are seeking a College Intern to support our Clinical Institutes/Care Transformation team . This is a PRN role (~10 hours per week) , traditionally aligned with the academic year (August – May). However, due to several active initiatives, we are open to candidates who are available to begin earlier in the summer.
Position Overview
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to care transformation initiatives while gaining exposure to a large, integrated health system. The intern will support ongoing projects, participate in departmental activities, and have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support clinical institute and care transformation projects and initiatives
Assist with research, data collection, and project coordination activities
Participate in meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional collaboration
Contribute to project deliverables aligned with academic and professional goals
Gain exposure to health system operations and strategic initiatives
Learning Objectives
Build knowledge of healthcare systems and department operations
Develop skills related to the intern’s field of study in a real-world environment
Gain hands-on experience through mentorship and guided project work
Strengthen professional competencies in a healthcare setting
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a related field
High school diploma or equivalent required
Interest in healthcare operations, clinical transformation, or related disciplines
Preferred:
Prior coursework or experience in a related field
Additional Details
Location: BayCare System Office West
Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week (PRN)
Shift: Days (typically between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Work Environment: Hybrid
Weekend Work: Occasional
