CNC Technician Full Time NEW

Job Overview
We’re searching for an experienced CNC/layup/assembly technician with a meticulous eye for detail to join us in building high-end, innovative camper vans. This position will perform the initial stage of cabinetry production by veneering sheet goods, cutting them on the CNC then sanding and staining them. The position will also be responsible for assembly of simple sub assemblies.

Job Detail

• Applying wood and laminate veneers to 4’ X 8’ composite sheets
• Installing CNC tools into tool holders
• Using machine to measure and calibrate tool heights
• Initializing machine each morning and performing daily calibration
• Cutting out various components with CNC router
• Setting up and running any secondary operations on the other side of the part/sheet
• Removing parts from CNC and sanding edges smooth
• Performing an initial sand on the flat panel
• Applying Stain to panels and full assemblies
• Construction of simple cabinet assemblies like drawer boxes, subwoofer boxes, etc…
• Tracking time spent on each job with provided iPad
• Checking jobs off as they are completed on iPad
• Notifying manager when tasks are running over schedule
• Completing 9 hours of work/day
• Keeping work area clean, sweeping and vacuuming daily
• Emptying dust collector as needed
• Disposing of scrap material after sheet has been cut
• Disposing of cardboard and trash throughout the shop

Desired Experience

• 1+ years relevant professional experience required
• CNC router operating
• Cleaning up of parts after they are machined
• Sanding
• Staining
• Layup of veneered sheet goods
• Microsoft windows
• Apple iOS

Required Equipment Experience

• CNC router
• Typical woodworking tools
• We will provide all necessary tools
