About the Role (READ FULL JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING!)
InteliSpark is entering into a new phase of growth helping world-changing, deep tech start-ups secure non-dilutive federal research grant funding. InteliSpark is hiring a Client Relations Coordinator to support pre-award functions working closely with the Grants Manager and Research and Support team. This client-facing role will be responsible for a variety of detailed administrative tasks.
What are we looking for?
This is an early career position well-suited for an individual who is comfortable interacting with clients and working in a deadline-driven environment. We seek talented candidates who are inspired by our mission of helping world-changing, deep-tech start-ups secure non-dilutive funding. We care more about your skills, attitude, and traits than your career experience.
· You are intelligent, competent, and can improvise, adapt, and overcome challenges. You are a natural problem solver who seeks to learn what you do not know.
· You have at least a bachelor’s degree from a high-quality University
· Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a “get things done” attitude. You have a natural sense of ownership of problems and tasks.
· Amazing task and time management. You are proactive with a knack for anticipating problems before they arise.
· Results-driven, with a preference for action. You have good instincts for when to act with self-directed initiative and when to seek guidance.
· You are self-teaching and able to learn how to do things you have never done before.
· Exceptional communication skills both orally and verbally.
· Ability to develop and improve processes to enhance efficiency.
· Excellent attention to detail and highly organized.
· Ideally, 2+ years’ experience in pre-award functions in a sponsored research office at a university or other organization with a focus on grants administration.
· Experience preferably in platforms such as research.gov, grants.gov and eRA commons.
In Office Position
This position will be based in our either our Ithaca, NY or Houston, TX offices. This position is a full-time, salaried position (range $50K-$60K) reporting directly to the company Grants Manager.
Responsibilities: (We hate job descriptions – but they are an unfortunate and necessary evil! We seek candidates that will grow, evolve, and thrive with the changing needs of the company. If you have ever said “that’s not my job” – this position is not for you!) Representative responsibilities include:
· Client government registrations – Support new clients in getting registered in the various government platforms including, but not limited to sam.gov, sbir.gov, research.gov, eRA Commons, grants.gov, SciENcv, and ORCID. This will include supporting existing clients in keeping their accounts up to date and active and troubleshooting when issues arise.
· Asana – Be primarily responsible for entering projects in the task management software Asana. Update project templates based on changes in solicitations and other agency guidelines.
· Serve as a liaison with client and Intelispark team (management, proposal development team, and grants manager)
· Escalate issues to internal team members that may arise to get appropriate support to solve the client problems
· Pre-award – Support in tasks leading up to grant proposal deadlines. This may include drafting Current and Pending forms and biographical sketches in SciENcv, drafting NSF’s Collaborators and Other Affiliations spreadsheet, drafting budget justifications, and entering information/uploading documents to grant submission platforms such as grants.gov, ASSIST, and research.gov.
