Chief Retail Officer Full Time

A high-growth, not-for-profit financial institution is seeking a Chief Retail Officer to join its team and serve as the senior leader responsible for enterprise-wide retail strategy and operations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead all retail delivery channels, including branch network, call center, and video banking operations.
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance member engagement, drive deposit and growth, and improve overall retail performance.
• Optimize branch and remote channel operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and consistent experience.
• Drive retail sales strategy, establishing and monitoring performance goals across deposits, loans, and ancillary products.
• Partner cross-functionally with executive leadership to align retail strategy with broader organizational objectives.
• Oversee retail budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain audit-ready operations.
• Analyze financial and operational data to improve decision-making, risk management, and performance outcomes.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, strengthening leadership bench depth and succession planning.

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a senior-level operations or retail leader within a financial institution.
• Proven ability to drive retail performance, sales growth, and operational excellence.
• Experience leading multi-channel delivery environments (branch, call center, digital/remote).
• Strong financial and operational acumen with experience managing budgets and performance metrics.
• Demonstrated success leading a sizeable team, driving accountability, and building a high-performance culture.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management within financial services.
• Experience with new branch builds and ATM/ITM infrastructure implementation preferred.
