I. Position Overview
The Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) serves as the central leader of an enterprise’s AI strategy, responsible for formulating the company’s overarching AI development strategy and driving the practical implementation of AI technologies across business operations, product development, operational management, customer service, data analytics, and automation.
This role requires the comprehensive coordination of AI technological innovation, commercial application, data governance, and intelligent transformation initiatives. Its objective is to enhance the enterprise’s operational efficiency, innovative capabilities, and market competitiveness, while simultaneously ensuring that AI technologies adhere to the company’s compliance, security, and ethical standards. II. Core Responsibilities
1. AI Strategy Planning and Management
Formulate the company’s medium-to-long-term AI development strategy and technology roadmap.
Establish the enterprise-wide AI architecture and intelligent transformation plan.
Drive the deep integration of AI with the company’s business strategies.
Identify AI innovation opportunities and drive their commercial implementation.
Participate in major corporate operational decisions and the formulation of digital strategies.
2. AI Technology R&D and Innovation
Lead the R&D of AI technologies, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision.
Drive the application of new technologies such as Generative AI, AI Agents, and Automated Decision-Making.
Establish the AI R&D framework, model training systems, and algorithm optimization mechanisms.
Manage AI platforms, model deployment, and inference architectures.
Drive the development of core enterprise AI intellectual property and technological innovation.
3. AI Product and Business Implementation
Drive the application of AI across various domains, including product development, marketing, customer service, supply chain management, financial risk control, and operational analytics.
Design AI-driven solutions for business growth.
Drive the implementation of projects involving intelligent customer service, smart recommendations, predictive analytics, and process automation.
Collaborate with Product, Operations, Sales, and other departments to drive AI commercialization.
Enhance enterprise operational efficiency and data-driven capabilities.
4. Data Governance and AI Security
Establish the enterprise AI governance framework and data management standards.
Ensure the data quality, security, and interpretability of AI models.
Promote AI ethics, privacy protection, and regulatory compliance management.
Establish AI risk control and model monitoring mechanisms.
Manage the security of enterprise data assets and AI infrastructure.
5. Team Building and Organizational Management
Build a high-caliber AI technology team and management structure.
Recruit and cultivate talent, including Algorithm Engineers, Data Scientists, and AI Product Managers.
Establish AI R&D processes, performance management systems, and technical standards.
Foster cross-departmental collaboration and a culture of innovation.
Manage AI project budgets and resource allocation.
III. Job Qualifications
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Mathematics.
Master’s or Ph.D. degrees are preferred.
Work Experience
20+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Technology Management.
5+ years of experience managing large-scale AI teams.
Experience with AI platforms, Large Language Models, intelligent products, or digital transformation projects.
Experience in the Internet, Technology, Finance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, or New Energy sectors is preferred.
Experience in driving enterprise-level AI commercialization and implementation is preferred.
