Fast-paced, busy, friendly local Henderson casino restaurant, where guest service is number one, is looking for a restaurant cashier/hostess. A cashier/hostess is the first impression to guests as they arrive at the restaurant and often is the last to say goodbye to them as they leave. Their goal is to ensure the customer is greeted, seated and served with excellence. In order to do this job well, a cashier/hostess often has to be engaging and genuinely interested in their surroundings. They need to smile, make eye contact with the guests, and be courteous to them. There is often more than one hostess on duty during busy periods in the restaurant.
Examples of Cashier/Hostess responsibilities
- Greet customers as soon as they walk through the door
- Provide patrons with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods
- Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
- Seat guests
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
- Learn food and beverage menu and daily specials
- Rotate seating between different areas ensuring even workloads for waitstaff
- Answer phones and schedule reservations with large parties
- Facilitate to go orders
- Close out guest checks via player point usage, credit cards & cash while utilizing food and beverage computerized system
