POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager/Director to lead market expansion efforts across North America (USA, Canada, Mexico). You will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strategic client relationships, and drive revenue growth that advances Transtech’s North American presence. This position reports to the VP of Sales.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning & Market Development:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities; establish and execute sales strategies for North American expansion
• Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis; deliver market reports and strategic insights to VP of Sales
• Deliver regular market forecasts, sales projections, and competitive landscape assessments

Client Relationships & Revenue Growth:

• Lead Tier 1 large-account development (>$100K orders): relationship building, commercial negotiations, contract management
• Build and expand North American distribution networks (system integrators, AV integration firms, distributors); ensure long-term strategic partnerships
• Drive new business opportunities and customer satisfaction to achieve and exceed revenue targets

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Develop sales strategies and coordinate with Shenzhen R&D, Suzhou manufacturing, and regional teams
• Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to deliver complete solutions to customers
• Report regularly to VP of Sales on progress, market feedback, pipeline status, and revenue performance

Industry Engagement & Product Promotion:

• Lead participation in major North American trade shows (InfoComm, NAB, CEDIA, etc.)
• Organize customer product demonstrations and technical seminars
• Showcase Transtech’s complete solution capabilities and competitive advantages

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Employment Type: Full-time

Travel Requirements: Approximately 50% travel across USA, Canada, and Mexico for customer visits, product demonstrations, trade show participation, and industry events

Work Location: Flexible (candidates may be based anywhere in USA, Canada, or Mexico with approximately 50% regional travel; home office infrastructure support provided)

Compensation Structure:

Base Salary: Competitive based on experience and qualifications

Commission Structure (Variable Compensation – Tiered):

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

• 5+ years of proven business development, account management, or B2B sales experience within high-tech or LED display solutions industries
• Track record in enterprise-level decision-making sales environments
• Successful experience closing large deals (>$100K orders)

Technical Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of LED display technologies: COB, Flip-Chip, MicroLED, fine pixel pitch solutions
• Knowledge of LED display applications in broadcast, corporate control rooms, retail, and commercial markets
• Ability to communicate technical advantages to non-technical audiences

Sales Systems & Tools:

• Hands-on proficiency with Salesforce OR HubSpot CRM (required)
• Ability to independently manage sales pipelines, track opportunities, and analyze sales data

Market Analysis & Strategy:

• Strong strategic planning, market research, and competitive analysis skills
• Ability to write market reports and sales forecasts
• Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies

Business Acumen:

• Expert-level commercial negotiation and contract management skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify high-value customers
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder deals

Communication:

• Excellent English communication and presentation skills
• Capability to deliver professional presentations at international trade shows and customer meetings
• Mandarin Chinese a plus (not required)

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
• MBA or LED industry certification preferred

• Proactive Self-Starter: Ability to independently identify market opportunities, actively participate in InfoComm, NAB, and other industry events
• Sales Excellence: Driven by results and compensation; motivated by tiered commission structure with clear earning potential; thrives in performance-based environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Sales, BD, or market experience with leading brands in LED display or high-tech industries
• Successful track record in building system integrator (SI), AV integration firm (CI), or distributor channels
• Deep understanding of specialized markets: virtual production, rental staging, retail displays
• Knowledge of industry control software (Nova-star, Brompton, etc.)
• Cross-border business experience (US-Mexico or US-Canada supply chain coordination)
• Strong professional network and established customer relationships in North American markets
• Prior experience in roles with commission-based compensation structures
