Business Analyst Middle Office Accounting

Location: Boston – Hybrid 3 days in the office

Interview: Virtual with final in-person

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong middle office accounting experience to support our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of portfolio management, accounting workflows, and the full lifecycle of daily operations from start-of-day to end-of-day.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary partner with stakeholders to analyze business requirements related to middle office accounting.
• Document and assess accounting and position movements across multiple systems.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integration of accounting workflows.
• Able to work independently, drive analysis, and break down complex challenges into clear, actionable insights.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trust and manage stakeholder expectations
• Comfortable working under pressure and managing tight deadlines
• Consistently delivers high-quality, accurate, and timely outputs
• Ability to quickly understand new environments and hit the ground running
• Proven Business Analyst experience in financial services with a focus on middle office accounting.
• Familiarity with portfolio management and daily operational flows.
• Experience tracking accounting position movements.
• Background in front office accounting, or reconciliation.
• Exposure to systems such as Aladdin, RKS, or Geneva (Aladdin experience is preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
