Role Description

This is a part-time, unpaid remote role for a Back End Engineering Intern (available to for school credit). The Intern will work closely with the engineering team to develop, test, and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and robust data storage solutions. Responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, debugging and troubleshooting, assisting with database management, and collaborating with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration.

We work in 2 week sprints, so you will be required to meet at least every two weeks to show work and review with the team. You will have a technical PM and work directly under the founding team as well.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in back-end programming languages such as Python, Java, and familiarity with Springboot.
• Understanding of database management systems.
• Skills in API design, development, and integration.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and testing skills, including familiarity with tools for version control such as Git.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• A passion for contributing to innovative solutions in the mental health and wellness space.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
