Position: Asphalt Paver Operator (Wheeler P265 / Astec Carlson CP100II)
Company: Priority Construction Inc.
Location: Battle Ground, WA
Pay: $35+ per hour based on experience and skill level
Job Description:
Priority Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Asphalt Paver Operator to operate both a Wheeler P265 and an Astec Carlson CP100II paver on active civil construction projects.
We are looking for a motivated individual who can take ownership of paving operations, maintain production efficiency, and deliver high-quality asphalt work from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Operate asphalt pavers (Wheeler P265 and Astec Carlson CP100II)
- Set up and run paving operations with minimal supervision
- Ensure proper grade, slope, and smoothness of finished asphalt
- Coordinate asphalt orders and communicate with plant as needed
- Line up and manage dump trucks for continuous paving operations
- Lead and direct laborers during paving activities
- Work closely with roller operators to achieve proper compaction
- Monitor material flow, temperature, and consistency
- Maintain equipment and keep jobsite organized
- Follow all safety standards and company procedures
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating asphalt pavers
- Experience with both commercial and subdivision paving preferred
- Ability to understand grades, slopes, and paving requirements
- Experience coordinating trucks and asphalt supply
- Leadership ability to manage crew during paving operations
- Strong attention to detail and finish quality
- Ability to work independently and complete projects efficiently
- Reliable, consistent, and production-focused
