AP Coordinator Full Time

The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men’s and women’s professional teams – the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.

The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will coordinate and process all purchase orders and vendor invoices for the Houston Dynamo FC, Shell Energy Stadium, Houston Dash, Houston Sports Park, Forever Orange, and Dynamo Charities. This position will assist with general office support tasks coordinated with and supervised by the Accounting Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Responsible for data entry and review of all vendor invoices and purchase orders.
• Prepare Vendor Aging Report and process payments weekly.
• Maintain accounts payable records in an organized and accurate manner.
• Primary point of contact for Tipalti AP system administration and support.
• Oversee and reconcile various corporate credit card accounts.
• Responsible for annual 1099 preparation.
• Respond to external and internal inquiries on a timely basis.
• Assist with general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned.
• Assist in the preparation of documents for annual financial audit.
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

• Minimum of two years accounts payable experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
• Experience in sports and/or arena management industry a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft (Dynamics NAV or Business Central) accounting software and/or Tipalti Payables system is a plus.
• Must be proficient with computers and MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, & Outlook.
