Aircraft Paint Technician

Santa Rosa, CA

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technician to support our coating operations. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate coating machines and equipment while following detailed procedures and specifications.
• Learn and apply coating technologies and processes.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as needed.
• Process, inspect, clean, and load parts into coating chambers.
• Perform in-process measurements on coated materials.
• Assemble and disassemble coating equipment for maintenance and repairs.
• Perform bead blasting and target changes requiring physical agility.
• Use grinders and other small hand tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain workplace organization and housekeeping standards.
• Support troubleshooting and repair activities; candidates with strong mechanical and/or electrical skills may have opportunities for expanded responsibilities.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and work on your feet for approximately 80% of the shift.
• Must be able to move fluidly between workstations, platforms, and tasks throughout the day.
• Must be able to perform physical maintenance activities, including equipment assembly/disassembly and material handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous coating, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
• Technical school certificate or vocational training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required; electrical experience is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
• Adaptable, patient, and detail-oriented.
• Basic math skills required.
• Intermediate computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheet usage.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, preferred.

Available Shifts

Candidates must be available to work any of the following shifts:

• Days: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Swings: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Mids: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend Days: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
