Cerbo•OptiMantra builds the EHR and practice management software behind functional, integrative, direct primary care, concierge, med spa, and behavioral health practices. Cerbo focuses on clinical configuration and protocol-specific workflows. OptiMantra is built for practices that need to scale. This is a primarily back-end role in PHP and Laravel, with room to grow across the stack. You’ll take on clearly scoped tasks and pieces of features and turn them into clean, readable code. You’ll work in Git and build a feel for how things get tested and deployed. You’ll ship alongside senior engineers who review your work and help you find your footing.
In this role we are looking for an early-career engineer who is comfortable working with AI coding assistants and learning to use them with judgment. You use them to draft and refine your code, and you check what they produce against clear acceptance criteria before you rely on it. You already understand that AI output has to be verified, that models hallucinate, lean on outdated patterns, and lose the thread of context, so you keep a healthy skepticism about what comes back. This is an early-career role, and the team is hiring for problem-solving instincts and the judgment to question what the AI hands you.
Builders use AI to take an idea all the way to a shipped product, moving across the work of product managers, designers, and engineers.
