About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Medical Administrative Assistant / Patient Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position based in Miami, Florida, offering the flexibility to work from any location with a reliable internet connection. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential administrative support to our medical team and delivering exceptional support services to our patients. Your role will involve managing appointment scheduling, patient records, insurance coordination, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical administrative role
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience with insurance verification and billing processes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments with the medical team efficiently
• Collect, verify, and update patient information and medical records accurately
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries, providing professional and empathetic customer service
• Coordinate with insurance companies to verify coverage, submit claims, and follow up on reimbursements
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with billing, invoicing, and payment processing tasks
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth and effective patient care delivery
• Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and document organization
• Continuously update and maintain patient records and databases for accuracy and compliance
• Support the medical team with additional tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency
