Accounting Staff – Accounts Receivable Full Time NEW

The Group Billing Coordinator possesses a broad knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Essential Functions

• Deliver “I Am Proud” service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
• Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
• Group Billing
• Review group turnovers to ensure all required information is received
• Invoice and process deposit payments based on amount/schedule in contract
• Review BEOs and compare to charges in Jonas to ensure accuracy in billing
• Compile and send a final invoice to the sales manager for approval
• Send approved invoice/payment receipt to client
• Send weekly status update with outstanding groups
• Send collections calls and emails on outstanding group balances
• Participate in bi-weekly credit meetings
• Other Accounting Functions as Assigned by Director of Finance

Position Requirements

• Minimum Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of computerized accounting systems preferred. PC knowledge and experience with Windows, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Experience with Jonas and Opera Club beneficial. Knowledge of accounting process and procedurecs. Ability to communicate with excellent verbal and written skills. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: High school graduate or equivalant
• License, Registration, and/or Certification Required: None

• Communications:
• Daily – Emails/phone calls with various team members in all areas and sales clients
• Weekly – Email to sales team regarding group billing statuses
• Occasionally – Participate in one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: This position requires continuous teamwork as well as internal and cross-departmental communication.

Marginal Functions

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Interface positively with other departments, helping when needed.
• Displays care in use of equipment and maintains an organized and professional work environment.
