Accountant/ Senior Bookkeeper Full Time

Position Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on Accountant to lead and strengthen our accounting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll partner with the Controller to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organization. You’ll oversee daily accounting activities, manage AR/AP and reconciliations, and provide timely, reliable reporting. Beyond the numbers, you’ll guide a talented team, support audits, budgeting, and forecasting, and drive process improvements that align with ISO 9001 standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise and attention to detail will directly impact financial integrity and operational success.

What You’ll Do

·        Lead daily accounting operations: AP, AR, cash receipts, credit card transactions, general ledger entries and expense management

·        Manage monthly closings, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

·        Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, and throughput margin

·        File multi-state sales and use tax returns; maintain compliance documentation

·        Supervise and train accounting team; maintain training materials and department matrix

·        Handle escalated customer/vendor issues with professionalism

·        Collaborate with external accountants for audits and year-end closings

·        Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

·        Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

·        Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and ISO 9001 standards

·        Drive process improvements and assist with special projects

What You Bring

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred (Associate’s with solid experience accepted)

·     3+ years progressive accounting experience 

·       Proficiency in SAGE 100 preferred

·       Strong understanding of GAAP, sales/use tax compliance and month-end close processes

·     Self starter with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task

·       Detail-oriented with excellent time management, analytical and problem solving skills

·       Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion

Compensation and Benefits

·       Salary Range: $65,000- $80,000 based on experience
