Main Responsibilities
The Accounting team has an opening for an Accountant in the Corporate Banking Department. This position is located in the National Services Center in Phoenix, AZ.
- Perform analysis, record journal entries and complete reconciliations for corporate depository bank accounts, lockbox accounts, and other miscellaneous accounts.
- Prepare weekly and periodic account reconciliations.
- Research discrepancies with bank partners and other accounting teams.
- Support team members on all accounting issues and account reconciliations.
- Take the lead on projects requiring research, organization, communication, and problem resolution.
- Coordinate with teams to create process efficiencies.
- Responsible for coordinating and ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Responsible for providing guidance to internal/external customers.
- Create standard and adhoc reports utilizing various applications: SQL, Access, Excel, ODBC queries, Oracle.
- Facilitate audits conducted by internal/external entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following
- Four-year business degree required (preferably in accounting).
- Two or more years accounting experience in a large organization with mainframe-based accounting.
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of GAAP.
