Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager with strong experience in the Higher Education sector. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between Academian and our education clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction, and account growth. This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in Phoenix, AZ or New York, NY due to regional client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders at higher education institutions.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (content, product, tech) to ensure seamless project execution and on-time delivery.
• Business Development: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to drive account growth and client success.
• Reporting & Analysis: Monitor account performance, collect client feedback, and provide regular insights to improve strategy and engagement.
• Issue Resolution: Act as the voice of the client within the organization and resolve concerns with
professionalism and urgency.
• Market Research: Stay current with industry trends, competitive offerings, and evolving client needs to inform strategic recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in account management or a client-facing role, preferably in EdTech or the Higher Education sector.
• Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Deep understanding of higher education systems, curriculum needs, or instructional technology.
• Demonstrated success in a sales or client expansion role within the education sector.
