2nd Shift Production Cooks – High-Volume Institutional Cooking
Pay Rate: $25.30/hr
Schedules: 12:00pm-8:30pm, Mon-Fri or 2:00pm-10:30pm, Mon-Fri
Occasional mandatory Saturday overtime
Assignment Length: Temp-to-Hire
Our client is urgently hiring two 2nd shift Production Cooks to support a fast-paced food manufacturing operation in York. These are high-paying roles at $25.30/hr and are temp-to-hire opportunities , offering long-term stability for the right candidates.
This is a hands-on, large-batch production cooking role ideal for candidates who have worked in institutional kitchens such as colleges, hospitals, military facilities, or large event operations and thrive in structured, production-driven environments.
Typical daily duties:
Prepare and cook gourmet food products in large batches following standardized recipes
Follow daily production schedules to meet manufacturing goals
Complete accurate production logs and inventory documentation
Operate industrial kitchen and food production equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all GMP, HACCP, and food safety procedures
What we’re looking for:
High-volume or institutional cooking experience strongly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Basic reading, writing, and math skills
